Brian Jekel is an immensely talented artist with the ability to envision and paint compelling pictures of God's love and glory. Few people are able to capture of the Lord's beauty in such a way as Jekel. He has created a series of paintings titled "By the Master's Side." The Minnesota native became interested in drawing at a young age, but soon put those interests aside when he became interested in sports and science in high school. He graduated college with a degree in physical education and sports medicine and moved to Australia to teach and coach.

After teaching for a couple of years, he decided to change his career path. He enrolled at the Rocky Mountain School of Art and after a year was teaching a couple of the classes. Jekel found a job at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida in 1981 and has been teaching there ever since.

He teaches commercial and graduate fine arts courses to eager students. Jekel has also painted over 1,200 illustrations in the Bible.
